It is the intent and effect of Ordinance #03-__ to amend Ramsey City Code Chapter .9 (Zoning <br />and Subdivision of Land) to amend the language prohibiting the construction of detached <br />accessory buildings nearer the front property line than the principal structure so that it only <br />applies to lots less than 2 acres in size. The 16 foot height restriction on accessory buildings will <br />be applicable to properties less than 2.5-acres in size versus properties located inside the <br />Metropolitan Urban Service Area. The 22 foot height restriction on accessory buildings will be <br />applicable to properties 2.5 acres and greater in size, versus just properties located outside the <br />Metropolitan Urban Service Area. A variance may be obtained to eXceed the established height. <br />restrictions on. accessory buildings. Criteria for considering variances to the height restriction is <br />included in the text. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. EFFECTIVE DATE <br /> <br />The effective date of this ordinance is thirty (30) days after its passage and publication, subject to <br />City Charter.
