I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I Councihnember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION # RESOLUTION RE-APPOINTING JILL E JOHNS TO THE PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION WHEREAS, The city Council adopted an ordinance in 1997 limiting commission members to two (2) consecutive four year terms plus any incomplete partial term; and WHEREAS, Ms. Johns has served on the Parks and Recreation Commission since September, 1993 in a partial term and one four year term; and WHEREAS, The reappointment of Ms. Johns will. provide her With a second and final four year term; and WHERAS, The Parks and Recreation CommissiOn has recommended that Ms. Johns be provided with an additional one year term to facilitate the staggering of commission vacancies; and WHEREAS, Ms. Johns has stated her interest in re-appointment to the Parks and Recreation Commission, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: I) That the City Council of the City of RamseY confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to re-appoint Ms. Johns to the Parks and Recreation Commission for a second four year term of 11/01/02-10/31-06 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution 'was duly seconded by Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereofi and the following voted against the same: and the following ~bstained: and the following were absent: Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adoPted by the Ramsey City Council this the 26th day of January 2003. -153-
