Nelson, Asst. City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br /> The fax machine utilized by City Hall staff, located in the Administration area, was purchased <br />in 1994. The fax machine has been experiencing significant problems over the past year. Staff has <br />researched repairing the machine, however, given the improvements in technology over the past <br />decade, purchasing a new fax machine with increased capability may be a better long,term solution for <br />the City. Staff has researched several different options and sources for fax machines and is <br />recommending purchasing a Panasonic DX800 Model fax machine. This model is network-able and <br />addresses the memory needs for faxing by the various Departments. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> By motion, approve Resolution No. 03-02- , Authorizing the transfer of the $1500100 from the <br />Equipment Replacement Fund for the purchase of a new fax machine for City Hall. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> By motion, approve Resolution No. 03-02- , Author/zing the transfer of $1500.00 from the <br />Equipment Replacement Fund for the purchase of a new fax machine for City Hall. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br />Finance Officer <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />CC: 02/11/2003 <br /> <br />-259. <br /> <br /> <br />
