-28- <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen inquired as to how long a moratorium can be in place. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik replied that the City can place a moratorium on a <br />property for a total of 30 months. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec, seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman, to recommend that the City <br />Council place a moratorium along the north side of Highway #10 between Highway #10 and the <br />railroad tracks within theCity limits. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Hendriksen stated that he did not know if it waS something <br />they wanted to do or not at this time, but he would vote in favor of the motion because it was <br />only a recommendation. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting No: Councilmember Kurak. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak stated <br />moratorium. <br /> <br />that she did not feel comfortable <br /> <br />with the timing <br /> <br />of the <br /> <br />COMMITTEE INPUT <br /> <br />1) Update on SunWood Drive NW <br /> <br />Principal City Engineer Olson stated that the. extension of Sunwood Drive is substantially <br />complete and LeTour has done a very nice job on the project. The contractor has asked for the <br />change order for the contract time becauSe of the delay requested by the City, which staff thinks <br />is reasonable. One other issue that has to be addressed has to do With the box culverts. He <br />explained that the box culverts along Sunwood Drive have a railing along the roadside and staff <br />has asked the contractor to provide the City a cost to extend the railing down the wing walls until <br />they get to a point that is less than three feet. LeTour has given staff a priCe of $5,760 for the <br />railing and additional time. Staff recommended approval of the change order. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to recommend that the <br />Council approve the change order. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Hendriksen, Anderson, Kurak, <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak requested that staff look at the positioning of the light at the intersection <br />of SunWood Drive and Sunfish Lake Boulevard. She explained that the interseCtion is So dark <br />that you can't even see the intersection. <br /> <br />Principal City Engineer Olson replied that staff has been receiving similar complaints at other <br />major intersections.
