I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br /> I <br />'1 <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br />2) Parking During School Events <br /> <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Kapler stated that he had received a complaint from a <br />resident living near the intersection of Helium Street and 150th Lane east of the school regarding <br />parking during school events. She thought the parking was a safety issue. Mr. Kapler did talk to <br />the Police Department about the issue and they are working with the school to cover up the no <br />parking signs along CSAH #5 during special events. The Police Department did not feel that the <br />parking along 150th Lane and Helium Street was a problem because it happens verY rarely. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman inquired if it was possible for the school to inCrease their temporary <br />parking area. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Kapler replied that staff has talked to the school aboUt using <br />the hockey area for overflow parking as a joint venture. <br /> <br />Councilmember Anderson stated that it would be beneficial if family members came in one car. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Kapler replied that he would mention that to the school. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Anderson, seconded by Councilmember Hendriksen, to adjourn the <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carded. <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Public Works Committee adjourned at 7:15 p.m. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />Nanci Libor <br />Recording Secretary <br />TimeSaver Off Site Secretarial <br /> <br />Dean Kapler ! <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief <br /> <br />Public Works Committee/October 15, 2002 <br /> Page 11 of 11 <br /> <br />,29- <br /> <br /> <br />
