Commission meetbgon February · 6,. 20,03.. I would appreciate.the opportunity to express some concerns.about the process dealing with the "Village of Sunfish Lake". My comments,reflect the concerns of the Engineering Department, and all Public Safety Departments including Public Works, Police and' Fi-re. As a group we feel the action before you on-the February. 6th meeting is. premature, We feel there has not been adequate-time spent to totally digest' the implications of the. deviations to our current city codes and specifications proposed, to you 'n this case. All departments listed' above express the desire to work together to negotiate a. plan that allows for creative development while not. compromising the essential serve.cos that all our current and. future residents will expect day in and day out. I am' extremely confident that given time we as staff can. come to a proposal that 'is a win-win situation as compared to the current proposal that many deem unacceptable. I suggest the case bef. ore you b'e tabled, or postponed until your March meeting. My- personal commitment to your group is that staff listed' above Will make this issue a high priority to assure tha~ the March proposat would be from staff,as a whole, rather, than 0nly a portion.. . -. .
