This pond has now been removed from this location, and the fzrst pond has
grown to at least three times its original size. Providing the map is accurate,
that places the pond all the way up to our property line. We DO NOT want
this in our backyard as we did not build our house near water for goOd
reasons.

In Minnesota, we already have enough mosquitoes and with the threat of
West Nile Disease more water would only bring more of both. If we wanted
to live on a lake/pond, we would have built over on Sunfish Lake.
Furthermore, this proposed property is on the lowest grade of the
development, and all the water wOuld drain our direction creating a possible
flood. We realize Ramsey is mostly sand, however, what is our guarantee
our home could not become flOoded??? We certainly will not have the added
expense of flood insurance. Perhaps the developer or the city would like to
pay for this expense!!!

There are a lot of small children in this area and water is very enticing to
them as you well know from the tragic deaths of the children in Bums
Township. If there must be a water drainage area please keep it North as the
original plan showed. If the land is not buildable then please put in a tot lot,
green space or both.

We appreciate your understanding in this matter!!

Sincerely,

Tim and Beth Yehle

-209-
