I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />M E M 0 R A N D U M <br /> <br />To: <br /> <br />From: <br /> <br />Re: <br /> <br />Cc: <br /> <br />Mayor and City Council <br /> <br />Mark Boos, Parks/Utilities Supervisor <br /> <br />Open Space Protection Technical Assistance <br /> <br />James Norman, City Administrator <br />Dean Kapler, Public Works Director/Fire Chief <br /> <br />On February 13, 2003 the Park and Recreation Commission recommended applying for a grant <br />opportunity that would promote public education on the importance of open space protection. <br /> <br />Due to the application deadline, Ramsey's proposal was sent in advance of this consent agenda <br />approval. If Ramsey is successful in attracting The League of Conservation Voters Education <br />Fund's attention, the proposal will be brought to City Council for authorization to proceed with <br />program development. <br /> <br />Attached for your information is the Leagues RequeSt for Proposal and a brochure prepared for <br />by Dakota County.
