I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I PERSONNEL COMMITTEE CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA The Ramsey Personnel Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, February 11, 2003, at the Ranasey Fire Station Number I, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. Members Present: Mayor Thomas Gamec Councilmember Todd Cook Councilmember David Elvig Councilmember Patti Kurak Councilmember A1 Pearson Councilmember Sara Strommen Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman Also Present: City Administrator James E. Norman Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson CALL TO ORDER Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the Personnel Committee to order at 6:25 p.m. CITIZEN INPUT None. COMMITTEE BUSINESS Case #1: Consider Appointment to Parks and Recreation Commission An interview panel consisting of the Personnel Committee and Park and Recreation Commission members Jon Olds and Melody Shyrock conducted interviews earlier in the evening. Consensus of the interview panel was to schedule an interview for Karen Green and Laurie Dustin on February 25 at 5:30 p.m., prior to making a recommendation to the Council: Case//2: Report Regarding Status of Human Resources Manager Position, Recommending Appointment of Interim HR Manager and Approval of Contract with Labor Relations Associates, Inc. for Recruitment Services Assistant City Administrator Nelson stated that on January 14, 2003, the City Council adopted a resolution accepting the resignation of Patrick Leadens and ratified the utilization of Curt Boganey as Interim HR Manger. Unfortunately, Mr. Boganey's services will not be available in March due to the fact that he has accepted an offer of full time employment with another Personnel Committee/FebruarY 11, 2003 Page I of 3
