Mr. James Norman, City Administrator <br />git,/of Ramsey <br /> <br />February 21, 2003 <br /> <br />COST OF SERVICES <br /> <br />The above Scope of Services would be completed for a total lump sum fee, all inclusive of <br />Nineteen Thousand One Hundred Forty Dollars ($19,140..00), including staff time and all <br />reiumbursable expenses for photocopying; printing of ten copies of the draft and.£mal report, <br />long. distance telephone, mileage, postage, etc. Cost of services includes a site visit, in-person <br />interviews/meetings with businessowners in the commercial district, interviews with other key <br />people as required and eight Client group meetings as summarized above. <br /> <br />Any additional meeting time and/or changes to the above Scope' of Services as requested by the <br />Client may result in fee changes to the proposal. These changes would be negotiated by <br />Maxfield and' the Client in the final scope of work. <br /> <br />Staff research hours by personnel are listed separately on the enclosed spreadsheet. <br /> <br />Any additional copies of the report requested by the Client beyond that outlined in the Cost of <br />Services will be billed at our direct costs for printing of the documents. <br /> <br />OPTIONAL CUSTOMER INTERCEPT SURVEY <br /> <br />Maxfield. Research will initially attempt to obtain Zip Code customer counts from existing <br />businessowners through a Zip Code Count program that would be conducted during the course of <br />the study for a two- to three week period. If we cannot obtain accurate or sufficient data through <br />participation in the Zip Code Count program or through base data information provided by <br />individual businessowners, the City may want to undertake a separate customer intercept survey. <br />This survey would be developed by Maxfield Research and reviewed with the Client'group. It <br />would consist of no more than a 3-minute customer survey and would be- conducted on-site, pre- <br />arranged with area businesses. · <br /> <br />The survey would be conducted by the firm of Sally Zorich and Associates; a company that <br />specializes in these types of surveys. ~ <br /> <br />The cost to conduct the intercept survey (roughly four to five hours per day for foUr non- <br />consecutive, days) would be a total of $2,200.00 additional. <br /> <br />PROJECT DELIVERABLES · <br /> <br />Maxfield Research Inc. will provide a bi-weekly email update tO the Client regarding the status <br />of the project and any important.information.
