<br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Public Hearing: Request for Vacation of Drainage and Utility Easements in <br />Brookfield First Addition; Case of Oakwood Land Development <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7:11 p.m. in order to <br />conduct a public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearin2 <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:11 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Associate Planner Geisler stated Oakwood Land Development has received final plat approval <br />for the 1 st and 2nd Additions of Brookfield. Drainage and utility easements were established in <br />both plats to cover the utility lines. Since then, a sanitary forcemain has been relocated slightly, <br />so that an adjustment is needed to the easements. The applicant is requesting that all the <br />drainage and utility easements on Outlot E of Brookfield 1 st Addition be vacated, and. re- <br />established correctly through the recording of Brookfield 2nd Addition. Staff recommends that <br />the easement be vacated, contingent upon staff review of the mylars for Brookfield 2nd Addition. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Strommen, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Strommen, Elvig, Dehen, Jeffrey, <br />Look, and Olson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />The public hearing was closed at 7:12 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular City Council meeting back to order at 7:12 p.m. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig questioned if this type of situation will occur a fair amount due to the <br />ghost platting that is being proposed. <br /> <br />Associate Planner Geisler explained this was to be one large lot that was never divided into <br />multiple lots. <br /> <br />City Council / May 22, 2007 <br />Page 4 of 24 <br />
