JOHNSON <br />County Administrator <br /> <br />Mr. Patrick Trudgeon <br />Community Development Director <br />City of Ramsey <br />7550 Sunwood Dr. NW <br />Ramsey, MN 55303 <br /> <br />Re: Medical Examiner Project <br /> <br />Dear Patrick: <br /> <br />Thank you for .the call regarding the city's plans to proceed with construction of Rhinestone Street from <br />Sunwood to Civic Center Drive in the Ramsey Town Center (RTC) Development. <br /> <br />Anoka County is moving forward to construct a County Medical Examiner's facility in Ramsey Town <br />Center. The County has adopted its Capital Improvements budget for 2008, and the budget does have the <br />funds for the facility. The county also has funds in the 2007 Capital Improvements budget for architectural <br />fees and for the purchase of land in the RTC. Our architect, Tom Dunwell with Buetow & Associates is <br />finalizing the design drawings and is working with the City of Ramsey on the various approvals and <br />variances that are needed. Weare in the final stages of negotiating the purchase of the land, located on the <br />east of Rhinestone Street between Sun wood and Civic Center Drive, from PSD, LLC. <br /> <br />Our budget and tax levy for 2008 will be finally adopted in December of 2007. Until that time, it is <br />impossible to guarantee that the project will be built beginning in early 2008, but at this time that is the <br />intention of the County Board. <br /> <br />If you have any further questions or concerns in this regard, please don't hesitate to call. <br /> <br />sm;r1' <br /> <br />Terry L.
