-288- RESOLUTION # RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE RESIGNATION OF BUILDING OFFICIAL, GLYN HUFF, AND APPOINTING RON WASMUND, Cert # 0903, AS THE CITY'S BUILDING OFFICIAL. WHEREAS, Glyn Huff was the City's Full-time Building Official; and WHEREAS, Mr. Huff resigned from his position as Building Official effective May 6, 2003; and WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes require that the City appoint a new Building Official within 15 days of a vacancy; and WHEREAS, staff has met with three contractors to discuss the City's need for a Building Official; and WHEREAS, the consensus among staff is that Inspectron, Inc. best meets the needs of the City at this time. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to accept Glyn HufFs resignation from the position as Building Official effective May 6, 2003. 2) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to authorize City Administrator, Jim Norman, to enter into an agreement with Inspectron, Inc. for inspections services for a period of six months beginning May !.4, 2003. The rate of compensation to Inspectron, Inc. will be $65 per hour for approximately 20 hours per week. 3) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to appoint Ron Wasmund (Certification #0903), of Inspectron, Inc., as the City's Building Official for an interim period of six months.
