• <br />Chairperson McDilda suggested adding referendum research onto the work plan. <br />Environmental Specialist Bacon suggested it be discussed before the Ramsey3. <br />Chairperson McDilda stated that the EPB is not a policy making board but a policy <br />recommendation board. <br />Board Member Sibilski stated that the wheel not be reinvented because it is possible to <br />see how it was done in other cities. <br />Board Member Max stated that direction should be taken from citizens as well as the city <br />council. <br />Coordinator Anderson stated it would be a goal setting starting point, to look at what <br />other cities did. <br />Motion by Board Member Sibilski and seconded by Board Member Max to add <br />discussion and approval of the work plan as the first case to be discussed at the January <br />meeting. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson McDilda, Board Members Bentz, Freeburg, <br />Max, Olds, and Sibilski. Voting No: None. Absent: Board Member Hustvedt, Jr. <br />• NEW BUSINESS <br />January Meeting Date <br />Motion by Board Member Max and seconded by Board Member Bentz to move the <br />January meeting date to January 8, 2007. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson McDilda, Board Members Bentz, Freeburg, <br />Max, Olds, and Sibilski. Voting No: None. Absent: Board Member Hustvedt, Jr. <br />BOARD INPUT <br />Board Member Freeburg attended the Growing Green Workshop in Scandia with the idea <br />of looking for speakers. He stated that most of the presentations were on the technical <br />side. He stated there was a disc with a paper on land value increases based on open space <br />availability. He recommended that the city council view it. <br />Chairperson McDilda suggested that in the past these things have been put on the cable <br />television. <br />Board Member Freeburg asked if he should present it to the EPB. <br />Board Member Max asked him to bring it to the January meeting. <br />Environmental Policy Board/ December 4, 2006 <br />Page 17 of 19 <br />
