.

Board Member Max stated that this was a two-year plan, with this currently being the
second year of Work Plan 2006/2007. He recommended no change made to the years.

Environmental Coordinator Anderson stated that he added a bullet item to the work plan
list to read, "Research Open Space Referendum".

Board Member Max suggested a grammatical change where the work plan indicates,
"Coordinate with City Staff the completion and support adoption of the Wetland
Inventory for Ramsey". He suggested that wording be changed to read, "Complete and
support adoption of the wetland inventory in coordination with City Staff."

Board Member Sibilski suggested stepping through each bullet item to review the work
plan.

Chairperson McDilda stated that the first item, "Work with City Staff and Council to
address protection and connection of greenway spaces as outlined in the 5-year Goals and
Strategic Focus Areas", would be as a result of direction from City Council.

Board Member Max asked ifthe 5-year Goals and Strategic Focus Areas were available
for EPB members to review.

.

Chairperson McDilda stated he has a copy but suggested that City Councilmember
Strommen be asked to bring it to the next meeting for discussion. Chairperson McDilda
explained that the 5-year Goals and Strategic Focus Areas would not be the same
document as the Comprehensive Plan.

Environmental Coordinator Anderson stated that the "Research the potential and/or
feasibility of greenway banking system" topic came about from the City Council work
session when the work plan was brought before them. Coordinator Anderson stated this
was at the direction of City Council.

Board Member Max reported that he was unsure whether this item was referencing
property or trees.

Environmental Coordinator Anderson stated this bullet item could tie into the "Research
Open Space Referendum" concept in the work plan. He explained that this might
indicate the potential of looking at acquiring lands when they become available for a land
bank.

Chairperson McDilda suggested combining the third and fourth bullet points on the work
plan.

Board Member Max stated that the "Research Open Space Referendum" item refers to
dedicated taxation for environmental causes and open space, which is different than
protecting green corridors.

.

Chairperson McDilda suggested putting the first two bullets together as sub-bullets.

Environmental Policy Board!
