Chairperson McDilda asked Board Member Max if this is a tool that he was actively
marketing.

Board Member Max stated this was designed for a class on how to do master street tree
designs. He presented this at the shade tree course this year. He stated it would be easy
to provide another derivative of this for Ramsey.

Chairperson McDilda asked if pictures were available.

Board Member Max responded that he has pictures but his partner in the project was not
interested in adding that to the site. He stated that it could be done.

Chairperson McDilda suggested that the canopy calculations could be added to this as a
tool for developers and landscapers.

Board Member Freeburg asked if there was a selection for fruit trees.

Board Member Max responded that the tree selections were based on what could be used
in a landscape. He stated if the City ever chose to move forward, this website could be a
basis to start from.

Chairperson McDilda asked Board Member Max if he had an opportunity yet to
demonstrate this to City Staff.

Board Member Max responded in the negative. Because he has put a lot of time and
energy into this, he stated that he preferred not to give it away or not market his services.
He stated that whatever is done should be done above board.

Chairperson McDilda suggested that similar to Ramsey3, monies might be drawn through
the City in the form of a grant for something like this.

NEW BUSINESS

Board Member Max stated that the Council Meeting on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 will
include discussion about the natural resource inventory.

Chairperson McDilda asked all EPB members to be in attendance. He stated that even
though the Environmental Policy Board will not be directly involved with the natural
resource inventory, the Board did make the recommendation that the inventory be taken
up by the City. He stated that Bonestroo represented themselves at the Friday and
Saturday evening Ramsey3 open forum. Chairperson McDilda stated that he felt good
about Bonestroo being selected to assist the City with this.

Board Member Max commented that the Friday and Saturday Ramsey3 meeting
discussions were conducted very respectfully.

Environmental Policy Board/May 7, 2007
Page 4 of6
