Councilmember Strommen noted the last time this was discussed they talked about a property
that works with heavy equipment in relation to the paving requirements. Over the life of this she
was not convinced that asphalt is a big expense. She agrees that the City property needs to be
taken care of.

Councilmember Olson stated she agrees completely that the City needs to clean up their own
back yard before they start requiring it of anyone else. She does not think asphalt will be a big
expense given the time horizon they are looking at. She is not certain about requiring curb and
gutter, but would support requiring asphalt.

Mayor Gamec directed staff to include this topic on the next work session agenda.

Consensus of the Council was to direct staff to have City owned property cleaned up within the
next 30 days.

2) PERA's Defined Contribution Plan and Social Security for Elected Officials

Removed from the agenda.

MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT

None

ADJOURNMENT

The Work Session of the City Council was adjourned at 6:56 p.m.

Drafted by Carol Hamer
TimeSaver Off Site Secretarial, Inc.

City Council Work Session / June 12, 2007
Page 3 of3
