Mayor Gamec replied there are business deals with the municipal ramp and it is supported with
businesses buying a certain number of spots through an assessment process.

Mr. Lindberg stated his main concern is that the City needs to be aware about the concerns with
the ACCAP townhomes. If they were to poll the residents at that development he would be
willing to bet there would be interesting comments about problems with the management of the
property, and with getting response to repairs.

Mayor Gamec asked why Mr. Lindberg did not bring this up to the City before.

Mr. Lindberg replied he just recently started getting involved with the City through the Hack
Center and got the agenda for this meeting today.

Mayor Gamec questioned why Mr. Lindberg did not contact the City about problems with the
Sunwood facility when he was having the problems. He stated he has had people call him, and
they have gone out there and it was taken care of. The City needs to know these things earlier so
they can get involved.

Mr. Lindberg stated he lived there for three years, and the first two years were great. His
brother-in-law lives across the street from Councilmember Jeffrey, and he convinced them that
nothing could be done because the City had their mind made up about this whole thing. They
fought against that development going in and the other one going in behind that. He did not have
much faith in the City, and he was a renter and did not know what rights he had as a renter. He
was not paying taxes in the City and did not realize he had the rights he had; he was complaining
to the management and the police.

Mayor Gamec stated he does not care, and does not think any of the other council members care,
if someone is a renter or a homeowner. Their job is to make sure there is adequate and proper
housing. He has found thetownhomes have taken care of a lot of this. It seems that Mr.
Lindberg is trying to vent and be bitter about this, but the residents have to let the City know.
There was a Youth First group that worked down there with the kids, and he talked to a lot of
those people. This is not only ACCAP housing where some of these problems exist. The City
will look into it, but the real key is if you are going to put out a fire you have to be. there when
the sparks fly.

Mr. Lindberg stated they called the police in a few instances and it seemed like the police were
acting like their hands were tied because it was private property. He was told that when he
called to complain about kids 7 and younger running around.

Mayor Gamec asked if there is anything else Mr. Lindberg wants to add to his statements.

Mr. Lindberg stated he thinks the management needs to be questioned. As a City Council they
need to scrutinize ACCAP because they will be right in the middle of downtown.

City Council / June 12, 2007
