(an organization for battered women
and their children/youth) stated that 137 residents from Ramsey were provided emergency and
non-emergency services from Alexandra House in 1996. They are requesting $2,500 in funds.
They provide 24-hour temporary, emergency shelter, support services and community advocacy to
battered women and their children/youth. Alexandra House has received past support from
Ramsey.

Erika Gilbertson, Program Specialist for Northwest Suburban Kinship, Inc. stated they are a youth
friendship program that serves youth ages 3 to 17 and they are requesting $2,500. In Ramsey, four youth, three
families and three volunteers were served by this program.

Cathy Weidmann, Coordinator of Senior Programs and Volunteer Services for ACCAP (Anoka
County Community action Program, Inc.) and also Colleen Coyle, Senior Outreach Worker for the
City of Ramsey were present and requested $2,785.
