Voting No: None. <br /> <br />2) Priority Street Lights <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski[ stated that there is $20,000 allocated in the budget for Priority C street <br />lights. He explained the street lighting policy and the definition of priority which includes only <br />those intersections of State trunk highways, County roads, and arterial City streets. A is the <br />highest priority and D is the lowest. All A and B priorities have been installed and we are now <br />looking at C priorities. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmem'ber Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to request a <br />proposal from Anoka Electric Cooperative for the installation of sixteen priority C street lights, and <br />the installation of a street light at 155th and Ramsey. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting 'Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Beyer, Zimmerman, Beahen and <br />Haas Steffen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />3) Report from Traffic Review Committee <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski reported that this case concerns one hold-over case from the January <br />meeting where the Road and Bridge Committee received recommendations from the Traffic Review <br />Committee with regard to requested additional signage. The Road and Bridge Committee had <br />requested an accident hi:~tory for the 151st Avenue/Ute and Tonto area. There have been no <br />accidents reported to the Police Department at that intersection since 1991. The recommendation of <br />the Traffic Review Cormnittee and the Road and Bridge Committee was for this area to remain <br />status quo. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to concur with <br />the recommendation of the Traffic Review Committee and the Road and Bridge Committee. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Haas Steffen, Beyer and Beahen. <br />Voting No: Councilmember Zimmerman. <br /> <br />4) Update on T.H. #47 Local Initiative Program <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that the City applied to the State for funding for improvements <br />from 142nd up to C.R. #5 and we received word from MnDOT that this project was listed as <br />successful contingent upon resolving access control issues. Staff is attempting to schedule <br />meetings with MnDOT to learn their concerns and to address them. No action is required. This <br />was an update. <br /> <br />5) Discussion of Policy for Processing Traffic Calming Requests <br /> <br />There was no time at the Road and Bridge Committee meeting to discuss this, therefore, k will be <br />brought back at a subsequent meeting. <br /> <br />Case 05: Report from Personnel Committee <br /> <br />1) Set Date for 1997 Commission Appreciation Dinner <br /> <br />Administrative Services Manager Walte Smith reported that the date recommended by the <br />Personnel Committee for the 1997 Commission Appreciation Dinner is Monday, April 14. <br /> <br />City Council/February 11, 1997 <br /> Page 7 of 14 <br /> <br /> <br />
