Voting No: None. <br /> <br />5) Review Facility Use and Rental Policy - Municipal Center and Park Center <br /> <br />Finance Officer Hart reported that the Finance Committee recommended amending the facility <br />use and rental policy to exclude civic organizations from having to pay rent. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Mayor Gamec to approve amending the <br />facility use and rental policy so that civic organizations, such as the Ramsey Lions and the <br />Ramsey Women of Today do not have to pay a fee. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Beyer and Zimmerman. Voting <br />No: Councilmembers Beahen and Haas Steffen. <br /> <br />6) <br /> <br />Authorize Entering into Contract with North Metro Humane Society for Animal <br />Control Services <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to authorize the <br />City Administrator and Police Chief to enter into and sign the contract for animal control <br />services to be provided by North Metro Humane Society contingent upon receipt of appropriate <br />insurance coverage. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Haas Steffen, Beyer, Beahen and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />7) 1998 - 2000 Capital Outlay <br /> <br />Finance Officer Hart stated that more information on the capital outlay requests will be brought <br />back to the Finance Committee. <br /> <br />No action required. <br /> <br />MAYOR/COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />1) Youth First Survey <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec noted the NWACC citizen's Youth First survey. <br /> <br />2) Computer and the "Fish Pond" <br /> <br />Finance Officer Hart stated that Mayor Gamec informed her that the Fish Pond in Anoka, a <br />center for youth, was in need of a computer and he suggested that the City donate one of their old <br />ones to them. <br /> <br />City Council/May 27, 1997 <br />Page 20 of 22 <br /> <br /> <br />
