Motion by Mayor Gamec and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to donate one of the old <br />computers to the Fish Pond in Anoka, contingent upon legal advice as to whether or not it's <br />possible to do this. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Garnet, Councilmembers Beahen, Beyer, Haas Steffen and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />3) Youth First Organization <br /> <br />Councilmember Haas Steffen presented some information on the Youth First Organization to Mr. <br />Schroeder and asked that it be copied and disseminated to the rest of Council. She asked that <br />Council then have discussion on what the community should be doing for its youth and families. <br /> <br />4) Acreage <br /> <br />Councilmember Haas Steffen called attention to a letter she received wherein the resident was <br />complaining that they were told they had 2.5 acres of land and were going to put up a pole <br />building, however, they found out they actually had 1.7 acres. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to review this <br />area of the City Code. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Haas Steffen, Beyer, Beahen and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />5) Quarterly Meeting with Planning Commission <br /> <br />The Council determined that they would prefer to meet with the Planning Commission after <br />meeting with the planner for the Comprehensive Plan amendment. <br /> <br />6) FEMA Reports <br /> <br />Finance Officer Hart reported that the reports for FEMA were finalized and the City is eligible <br />for debris clean-up and flood prevention only. The amount estimated to be received is about <br />$8,000. <br /> <br />7) Snowmobile Meetings <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec noted it will soon be time to hold snowmobile meetings. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to adjourn the <br />meeting. <br /> <br />City CouncilfMay 27, 1997 <br /> Page 21 of 22 <br /> <br /> <br />
