2) Community Picnic <br /> <br />Councilmember Beahen commented on the festivities at the annual Community Picnic and <br />voiced a special thanks to the Fire Department for the water hose competition. <br /> <br />3) Employee Picnic <br /> <br />Mr. Schroeder reminded Council of the Employee Picnic scheduled for Wednesday, June 11, at <br />River's Bend Park. <br /> <br />4) Open House <br /> <br />Mr. Schroeder announced the open house scheduled for Heritage Millwork. <br /> <br />5) Joint Meetings - No Wake Ordinance <br /> <br />Mr. Schroeder stated that the no-wake ordinance that was discussed at the joint Andover, Anoka <br />and Ramsey meeting is subject to a public hearing. Andover had their hearing and nine people <br />were present; eight were in favor and one was against the ordinance. He stated he has heard from <br />two people in Ramsey about this - one would be in favor of such an ordinance and the other <br />expressed opposition to it. <br /> <br />6) Gun Club <br /> <br />Mr. Schroeder stated that the City has been receiving some complaints about the shooting noise <br />at the gun club. Councilmember Zimmerman met with the residents a couple of times. Federal <br />Cartridge will be doing some noise studies and this subject will be brought back to Council at a <br />later date. <br /> <br />7) City Wide Meeting - Youth First <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec announced a City-wide meeting regarding Youth First is scheduled for September <br />11, at Ramsey Elementary School. The purpose will be to go over the survey results. <br /> <br />Councilmember Haas Steffen hoped that this meeting would be properly publicized - such as in <br />the Ramsey Newsletter, the Women of Today mail-outs and church bulletins. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adjourn the <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
