Case #15: Report from Personnel Committee 1) Recommend Adoption of Code of Conduct for City Employees Administrative Services Manager Waite Smith reported that the Personnel Committee recommended that Council approve the Code of Conduct and that it be distributed to all employees and that training be provided. She noted that the Code of Conduct was produced by the Labor Management Committee. Appointed Commission members would also be included in a training. Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to ratify the recommendation of the Personnel Committee. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Haas Steffen, Beyer, Beahen and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. Case #16: Introduce Ordinance Authorizing the Sale of Certain City-Owned Property Located in the City of Ramsey City Attorney Goodrich stated that this ordinance deals with the sale of surplus City property which has been an on-going issue in the Front Street (Riverdale Drive) area. This is a remnant that needs to be deeded and he requested that Council authorize deeding it to Mr. Jack Newcomb. The area is 140 square feet and it's landlocked. The neighbors all agree this should be done. Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to introduce the ordinance authorizing the sale of certain City-owned property. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Haas Steffen, Beyer, Beahen and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. MAYOR/COUNCIL INPUT 1) Groundbreaking Mr. Schroeder announced the groundbreaking scheduled for 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 13, for Point Investment on McKinley Street. 2) Comprehensive Plan Mr. Schroeder stated that a meeting on September 4, 1997, at 7:00 p.m., will be the "kick-off" for the Comprehensive Plan process. 3) Youth First Mayor Gamec noted a Youth First meeting scheduled for Thursday, August 21.
