Case #15: Report from Personnel Committee <br /> <br />1) Recommend Adoption of Code of Conduct for City Employees <br /> <br />Administrative Services Manager Waite Smith reported that the Personnel Committee <br />recommended that Council approve the Code of Conduct and that it be distributed to all <br />employees and that training be provided. She noted that the Code of Conduct was produced by <br />the Labor Management Committee. Appointed Commission members would also be included in <br />a training. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to ratify the <br />recommendation of the Personnel Committee. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Haas Steffen, Beyer, Beahen and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #16: <br /> <br />Introduce Ordinance Authorizing the Sale of Certain City-Owned Property <br />Located in the City of Ramsey <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that this ordinance deals with the sale of surplus City property <br />which has been an on-going issue in the Front Street (Riverdale Drive) area. This is a remnant <br />that needs to be deeded and he requested that Council authorize deeding it to Mr. Jack Newcomb. <br />The area is 140 square feet and it's landlocked. The neighbors all agree this should be done. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to introduce the <br />ordinance authorizing the sale of certain City-owned property. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Haas Steffen, Beyer, Beahen and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />MAYOR/COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />1) Groundbreaking <br /> <br />Mr. Schroeder announced the groundbreaking scheduled for 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 13, <br />for Point Investment on McKinley Street. <br /> <br />2) Comprehensive Plan <br /> <br />Mr. Schroeder stated that a meeting on September 4, 1997, at 7:00 p.m., will be the "kick-off" <br />for the Comprehensive Plan process. <br /> <br />3) Youth First <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec noted a Youth First meeting scheduled for Thursday, August 21. <br /> <br />City Council/August 12, 1997 <br /> Page 13 of 14 <br /> <br /> <br />
