Presentation

City Administrator Schroeder announced this is the public hearing required to vacate the parcel
on the east side of County Road #57. When the City acquired the right-of-way for Sunwood
Drive, we talked about resolution of this cloud. This ordinance would authorize vacation of that
parcel but for the portion encumbered by Sunwood Drive.

Citizen Input

None

Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to close the
public hearing.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Haas Steffen, Beahen, Beyer and
Zimmerman. Voting No: None.

The public hearing closed at 7:09 p.m.

Council Business

Mayor Gamec called the regular portion of the City Council meeting back to order at 7:09 p.m.

Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to introduce
an ordinance authorizing vacation of street right-of-way of the Old Town Road, west of County
Road #57 (Sunfish Lake Boulevard NW).

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Haas Steffen, Beahen, Beyer and
Zimmerman. Voting No: None.

Case #2: Request for Site Plan Approval; Case of Sharp and Associates

Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that the City of Ramsey has received a request for site plan
review and approval from Sharp and Associates. The plan proposes to construct a 14,300 square
foot office and manufacturing facility on Lot 1, Block 1, Business Park 95 4th Addition. The
facility will be leased with option to buy to Spectrum Fixtures, which manufactures store
fixtures. Ms. Frolik explained that the facility is proposed to have one access onto McKinley
Street NW. The applicant has been informed that Radium Street will most likely be constructed
north off of McKinley to Industry Avenue and it is acceptable to City staff if the developer
desires to also have an access onto Radium Street. The site plan complies with City Code as it
relates to zoning, lot coverage, setbacks, design and number of off-street parking areas and
driveways, loading berths, and architectural standards. The site plan was reviewed and approved
by the Planning Commission and the Business Park 95 Architectural Review Board on August 6,
1997.

City Council/August 12, 1997
