Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to adopt <br />Ordinance #97-13 amending the City's pawnbroker's section of the City Code. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Beyer, Zimmerman and Beahen. <br />Voting No: None. Absent: CouncilmemberHaas Steffen. <br /> <br />Case #11: <br /> <br />Ordinance Authorizing the Sale of Certain City-Owned Property Located in <br />the City of Ramsey <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich noted that Council had introduced an ordinance authorizing the sale of <br />surplus property. The property, located in the Front Street (Riverdale) area is a remnant that <br />should be deeded over to the adjacent property owner, Mr. Jack Newcomb. It's the small 144- <br />foot parcel in the area of Grosslein Beverage. That ordinance is now being presented for formal <br />adoption. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to adopt <br />Ordinance #97-14 authorizing the sale of certain City-owned property located in the City of <br />Ramsey. (That part of Lot 7, AUDITOR'S SUBDIVISION NO. 96, Anoka County, Minnesota, <br />lying southerly of the easterly extension of the north line of the south 94.00 feet of Lot 5 in said <br />AUDITOR'S SUBDIVISION NO. 96.) <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Beyer, Zimmerman and Beahen. <br />Voting No: None. Absent: CouncilmemberHaas Steffen. <br /> <br />Case #12: 1997 Street Maintenance Program <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that the 1997 Street Maintenance Program work has now been <br />completed and it's time to declare the costs, prepare the proposed assessments, and order the <br />public hearings which are suggested for September 23, 1997. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adopt <br />Resolution #97-08-215 declaring cost to be assessed and ordering preparation of proposed <br />assessment for Improvement Project #97-01 (Sealcoat and crack fill Sections 6 and 7 Unplatted). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Beyer and Beahen. <br />Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Haas Steffen. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adopt <br />Resolution #97-08-216 calling for a public hearing on proposed assessment for Improvement <br />Project #97-01 (Sealcoat and crack fill Sections 6 and 7 Unplatted). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Beyer and Beahen. <br />Voting No: None.
