City Engineer Jankowski replied there have been traffic studies for The Meadows and Shade
Tree Cottages. ,He does not have that information with him tonight. He does not recall any
limiting conditions on 157th Lane associated with the studies; they could be reviewed.

Commissioner Brauer commented on the traffic on Highway 5 in general, and the increase in
traffic on that highway. He questioned at what point they reach the tipping point on Highway 5
where there is so much traffic being generated that in effect it is creating an unsafe situation.

City Engineer Jankowski replied that is a good quest'
subdivision they have. The City's position has been that
other regional agencies; including the County .
roadways. Also, they are meeting with the
Comprehensive Plan and the County's trans
simplistic to say that when there is a certain
development. He indicated he would almost be more comfortable doing this as a zoning change than as a
conditional use permit that sets all kinds of precedence.

-157-
