<br />CASE # 5 <br /> <br />RECEIVE BIDS AND AWARD CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #06-22, <br />RAMSEY TOWN CENTER CITY PHASE 2 SEGMENT 2 <br />. By: Leonard Linton, Civil Engineer II <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Improvement Project #06-22 consists of bituminous surfacing, drainage improvements, sanitary <br />sewer, watermain and miscellaneous improvements to segments of Civic Center Drive and <br />Rhinestone Street which are located south of Sun wood Drive. Authorization to advertise for bids <br />was ordered on June 12, 2005, and bids were opened on Thursday, July 19, 2007. The City is <br />responsible for constructing these street segments under the terms of the Ramsey Town Center <br />Master Development Agreement. The streets would not be constructed until development <br />agreements are completed for adjacent properties. The City has received development <br />applications for Medical Examiners office and Crestview housing projects. Both projects will <br />receive access from the segment of Rhinestone Street to be constructed The Medical Examiners <br />office has received preliminary plat approval and they are working on their final plat submittal. <br />The county has submitted a non-binding letter stating the project will be constructed. <br /> <br />Ten (10) bids were received and ranged from $323,518.55 to $397,976.50.
