Mayor Gamec adjoumed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7:07 p.m. in order to <br />conduct the public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:07 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski explained that Mr. Christian now has a buyer for the lot occupied by <br />the existing building and he is preparing to record the plat. We must now proceed again with the <br />public hearing and ordinance adoption to vacate the underlying easements. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to close the <br />public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Beahen, Zimmerman, Beyer and <br />Haas Steffen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />The public hearing adjourned at 7:07 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the regular portion of the City Council meeting back to order at 7:07 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to introduce <br />the ordinance to vacate all drainage and utility easements within the boundaries of the plat of <br />Ramsey Commercial Park. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Beahen, Beyer and <br />Haas Steffen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case//2: Traffic Circle at 149th and Peridot Street <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that a letter was sent to residents in the area of the traffic circle informing <br />them that this was a topic for discussion this evening. There has been a couple of accidents due <br />to the circle and also some vandalism done to it. He expressed disappointment that the <br />vandalism had taken place. City Council has made an attempt to slow traffic down, however, the <br />circle causes problems with emergency vehicles and snow plows. <br /> <br />Trudy Matilla, 7451 ~ 149th Avenue NW, Ramsey, felt that they did not have a very long time to <br />realize any benefit from the circle but she wasn't sure if there would be any benefit.
