Absent: Commissioner Levine. <br /> <br />NOTE CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />The following Council minutes were noted: <br /> <br />1) City Council regular meeting minutes dated June 26, 2007 <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS/COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Request for Sketch Plan Review of Alpaca Estates 5th Addition; Case of Chad <br />Wiech <br /> <br />Associate Planner DaInes stated in light of the denial made on the variance request to develop <br />Outlot A with a septic system, the Alpaca Estates 5th Addition Sketch Plan does not need to <br />move forward. <br /> <br />Commissioner Van Scoy stated they had concerns with the elevation and they were not clear on <br />the flood plain and those were their two main issues. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt stated there is a significant disparity between the developed property to the east <br />and the retaining wall and the impact of the development of this site in light of the significant <br />topical challenges which is also something to keep in consideration. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt stated the placement of the septic system in light of the observed recent <br />flooding of the property gave some concerns. <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Public Hearing - Request for Zoning Amendment from E-l Employment to <br />B-1 Business; Case of TSM Development, Inc. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt closed the regular portion of the Planning Commission meeting at 9:04 p.m. in <br />order to call the public hearing to order. <br /> <br />Public Hearine: <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt called the public hearing to order at 9:06 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Management Intern Gladhill reviewed that in 2005, the City and Metro Council approved a <br />Comprehensive Plan Amendment for two residential parcels on the comer of Ramsey Blvd and <br />Bunker Lake Blvd. The change was from Places to Work to Places to Shop. TSM Development <br />is now requesting a Zoning Amendment to officially rezone the property from E-l Employment <br />to B-1 Business. . <br /> <br />Planning Commission/August 2, 2007 <br />Page 2 of 16 <br />
