Commercial speech, off-premise signs <br />c. Signs painted, attached, or in any other manner affIxed to trees, rocks, or <br />similar public structures. <br />d. Signs in the public right-of-way, unless otherwise specified in this Section. <br />e. Signs on parked vehicles or public utility poles <br />f. Permanent signs on fences <br />g. Projecting signs <br />h. Portable signs, except in accordance with temporary sign regulations. <br />1. Roof Signs <br />J. Flashing signs or lights on signs, including scrolling signs <br />k. Motion Signs <br /> <br />9.12.03 Residentially Zoned Districts (R-1, R-2, R-3, residential portions of <br />MU-PUD). The following standards shall apply to all signage located on <br />residentially zoned parcels. All standards shall be considered per parcel, <br />unless otherwise specified. <br /> <br />a. Size of sign: No one sign shall be larger than 16 square feet per surface. <br /> <br />b. Amount of signage: No parcel shall have more than a total of 32 square feet <br />of signage. <br /> <br />c. Number of signs: No parcel shall have more than two SignS for any <br />purpose. <br /> <br />d. Sign Height: No parcel shall contain a sign taller than five feet. <br /> <br />e. Sign Location: No sign shall be closer than 5 feet from the property line. <br /> <br />f. Prohibited Signs in Residential District: The following signs are <br />specifically not permitted within residentially zoned areas: illuminated <br />and/or backlit signs, portable signs, motion or moving signs, roof signs, <br />flashing or scrolling signs, and automatic, changeable copy signs. <br /> <br />9.12.04 <br /> <br />Commercial Zoning Districts (B-1, B-2, H-1, commercial portions of MU- <br />PUD) <br /> <br />a. Wall, Canopy or Marquee Sign. Total sign area may not exceed fifteen <br />percent (15%) of the front building facade. Businesses in multi-tenant <br />buildings shall be allowed the proportionate share of the total wall sign area. <br />The total wall signage permitted may be distributed on any other building <br />fa9ade. Sign height shall not exceed the top of the parapet wall or, if no <br />parapet wall, sign height shall not exceed the height of the eaves. A wall, <br />canopy or marquee sign may be located on the outermost wall of any <br /> <br />134 <br />
