<br />11. Illumination, if any, is achieved through shielded <br />illumination, shielded silhouette lighting, or shielded spot <br />lighting but not any lighting where the light source is <br />vi~ible or exposed on the face or sides of the characters. <br /> <br />111. A wall, canopy or marquee sign may be located on the <br />outermost wall Of any principal building but shall not <br />project more than sixteen (16) inches from the wall to <br />which the sign is to be affixed. A wall sign shall not <br />project higher than the parapet line of the wall to which the <br />sign is to be affixed. <br /> <br />2. Ground Sign. There shall not be more than one (1) ground sign <br />for each parcel. The gross surface area of a ground sign shall not <br />exceed one hundred (100) square feet for each exposed face nor <br />exceed an aggregate gross surface area of two hundred (200) <br />square feet. <br /> <br />3. Menu Board. One (1) on-site menu board per drive-up or walk- <br />up lane of a drive-in restaurant up to a maximum of thirty-two (32) <br />square feet each, and must be limited to a single side. <br /> <br />4. Signs in Parking lots. Signs in parking lots are limited to one sign <br />per entrance and/or exit limited to four square feet for each <br />exposed face, and may not be more than 5 feet in height. Any signs <br />required by Federal ADA statutes are exempt from these <br />regulations. Any additional signs in parking lots are subject to <br />review by the Zoning Administrator. <br /> <br />c. Unauthorized Signs: <br /> <br />1. Signs expressly unauthorized in Section 9.12.03, Subd. 4 <br /> <br />11. . Signs employing mercury vapor, low pressure and high <br />pressure sodium and metal halide lighting; plastic panel <br />rear-lighted signs. <br /> <br />111. Signs painted or mounted upon the exterior side or rear <br />walls on any principle. or accessory building or structure, <br />except as otherwise permitted hereunder. <br /> <br />IV.
