OND
j PHICS
INCORPORATED

'I~~~_H_C;~-:~:>~I ~~i,.

-~ ,- . - --

Sean Sullivan
Economic Development Coordinator
7550 Sunwood Dr. NW
Ramsey, MN 55303

July 19,2007

Sean,
Thank you for meeting with me to discuss the possibility of relocating Diamond Graphics, Inc. to
Ramsey. Currently we are deciding between purchasing an existing building or constructing a
new facility in which to combine our two current operations and call home. The various
advantages for business development you described were both interesting and refreshing. I was
impressed, and would like to talk in greater detail about building in Ramsey.

As we discussed, Diamond Graphics is in its 10th year of business providing plastic card
manufacturing solutions to the telecom, direct mail, and retail industries. In short, when you buy
a plastic pre-paid phone card, or throwaway one of those fake credit cards that come in the mail,
think Diamond. Currently we operate from a site in St. Louis Park where we print and cut plastic
cards. Then we send them to our other facility in Blaine where we use high speed equipment and
technology to personalize each card with encoded data. Weare looking to purchase or build a
50,000 square foot facility by mid-2008 in which to combine our business for greater efficiency
and invest in new card manufacturing opportunities.

Currently DGI employs approximately 50 full time personnel and accommodates cyclical end of
year seasonal work expansion through additional part time jobs. We pride ourselves on the
expertise of our workforce in regard to their flexibility in operating various systems and
sophisticated technical equipment to meet the needs of our customers. Therefore, we tend to pay
wages above industry standards. Employees typically are hired at entry level wage rates
averaging $11/hr and through training and development can achieve and average $15 -$17 /hr
within 12-36 months. Our strategic business goal is to expand approximately 10% annually over
the next five years.

Weare currently looking at several existing sites in the greater metro area, but the ability to build
a new facility in Ramsey has risen literally to the top of our list. At this point I am waiting for
construction cost information from our developer. Once that information has been reviewed, I
would appreciate if you would meet with my team again to discuss this project in greater detail,
answer questions, and help us to move closer to finalizing our ultimate action plan.

Don Patterson
Director of Operations
Diamond Graphics, Inc.

58 6417 Goodrich Avenue · St. Louis Park, lvfN 55426
Phone: 952-929-7131 · Fax: 952-:929-5853 · Email: info@dgiusa.net · Web: wvvw.dgiusa.net
