After reviewing the maps, it was the consensus of the Commission to have Mr. Gromberg <br />indicate some uses that may work in the area from the western city border to Armstrong <br />Boulevard, between 153rd Avenue and the Mississippi River. The EDC will then, at the next <br />meeting, develop suggestions for uses to forward to City Council. <br /> <br />STAFF UPDATES <br /> <br />Building Projects: The City has scheduled a walk through for the new <br />Barkela Manufacturing Facility on March 12, 1997, at 5:30 p.m. Commission <br />members should try to attend this event and welcome a new member to the <br />Industrial Park. The AEC facility should be completed during February, with <br />an open house scheduled for the week of March 10th. <br /> <br />A walk through for the new AEC facility will be conducted on Monday, <br />March 24, 1997 at 5:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Marketing Plans: The City is currently in the process of planning for the <br />first Business Breakfast. The EDC members should determine what times <br />will work best for them to attend and if they have any suggestions for the <br />program and who should be invited. <br /> <br />Commission Vision: All of the EDC members should have received a copy <br />of the memo that was agreed upon for the future direction of the Commission. <br />This memo was forwarded to the City Council members with their agenda <br />packets for the February 25, 1997 meeting. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Kent and seconded by Commissioner Scheiber to adjourn the meeting <br />of the Economic Development Commission. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
