COMMITTEE INPUT <br /> <br />1) Audit Report <br /> <br />Finance Officer Hart reported the auditors have completed their work with great expediency and <br />extended her appreciation to the Finance Department staff. <br /> <br />Councilmember Beyer added her appreciation to City staff. <br /> <br />Finance Officer Hart advised a management report and audit information will be provided for Council <br />consideration. <br /> <br />2) CDBG Request <br /> <br />Ms. Erika Gilbertson, Program Specialist at Northwest Suburban Kinship Program, explained this <br />organization made a presentation at the CDBG public hearing but was denied funding. She <br />commented on the importance of having the City, community, school, and churches work together <br />and encouraged the Finance Committee to consider reallocating CDBG funds to the Kinship Program <br />which will benefit the youth of Ramsey. Ms. Gilbertson advised their $43,000 budget includes mostly <br />donations and the only cash received is through CDBG. She explained all other cities served provide <br />funding through CDBG and asserted this program has well-served the youth of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec explained he has been contacted by other organizations which also did not receive <br />funding but if the Council decides to reopen CDBG allocation consideration, all organizations would <br />need to be notified. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to adjourn the <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Haas Steffen, Zimmerman, Beahen and <br />Beyer.
