She had a good demeanor and was very <br />straight forward in how she presented things. Sl1e was a good person to .deal with. <br /> <br />Case #8: <br /> <br />Consider Approval of Burns TownshiplRamsey Joint Powers Fire Protection <br />Agreement <br /> <br />Fire Chief Kapler stated ,the proposed Joint Powers Fire Protection Agreement (JJFP A) is the. <br />product of many months of work and a subcommittee,between the communities of Ramsey and <br />Bums Township. The agreement will bring an elevated level.of service to the communities of <br />Ramsey and Bums Town~hip by using shared reSOurces for fire protection. Mr. Kapler reviewed <br />the JJFPA. He advised the JJFPA will remain in force in perpetuity a.nd inc1udes'a termination <br />clause. He noted the contract the City of Ramsey was pteviou.sly party to for fire protection did <br />not include a good termination clause, and' to some extenttheie was not a friendly parting. He <br />thinks it is important to include.a solid termination clause in this agreement so that if either <br />community decides to go ~eir separate way there can be a friendly parting.
