CASE # 1 5 <br />REQUEST FOR TWO YEAR EXTENSION OF LEASE FOR PORTION OF PROPERTY <br />LOCATED AT 6701 HIGHWAY 10 NW: <br />CASE OF YOUTH FIRST COMMUNITY OF PROMISE <br />By: Tim Gladhill, Management Intern <br />Background: <br />Youth First Community of Promise is proposing a two year extension to their lease <br />The following items are enclosed for your information: <br />a) Proposed resolution <br />Observations: <br />In December, 2006, City Council approved a lease with Youth First Community of Promise for a <br />portion of the office space at 6701 Highway 10 NW (former NAU site) through the end of <br />August, 2007. Staff is recommending that the lease be extended for a period of two (2) years. <br />As Council may recall, the Lease Agreement states that the space will be provided rent free. The <br />tenant is responsible for their portion of the utility costs, as well as providing liability insurance. <br />Funding Source: <br />RALF fund. Lease revenue waived. Tenant responsible for utilities and liability insurance, paid <br />for by the Tenant. <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends extension of the lease for a two (2) year period. <br />Council Action: <br />Motion to adopt Resolution #07- 08 -xxx to extend the Lease with Youth First Community of <br />Promise for a period of two (2) years. <br />-or- <br />Motion to recommend that the City Council deny the Resolution #07- 08 -xxx. <br />Review Checklist: <br />Finance Officer <br />CC: 08/14/07 <br />
