Case//4: Ramsey Resident Newsletter

Commissioner LaMere requested the Commission explore the possibility of having a
section in the Ramsey Resident Newsletter highlighting parks. He said the section could
include information on improvements, additions, and the trail system. Including where and
how to purchase a park and trail map. He indicated the Newsletter would be a good way
of informing people of the park system and facilities available.

Mr. Boos indicated the December/January Newsletter deadline may have passed, but said
staffwould be able to accommodate the request.

Commissioner Rolfe requested the Ramsey Resident Newsletter be included as a topic for
the January meeting in order to brainstorm information for the following edition.

COMMISSION/STAFF INPUT

Chair Cook stated the Charitable Gambling Fund has been used over the past three years
to provide the public an opportunity to do a project at a park. He requested if there was
any community interest, individuals or organizations should contact City Hall and
complete a proposal packet by January 28, 1998.

Commissioner Droegemueller stated he would be stepping down as President of the
Ramsey Youth Association at the end of January, 19
98. He asked interested people to contact the Association and stated all offices are up for
election in January.

Chair Cook suggested the Park and Recreation Commission take the City Council on a
tour of the parks in the spring. He noted that some of the Council are newly appointed
and requested this be discussed at the joint meeting.

ADJOURNMENT

Motion by Commissioner Droegemueller and seconded by Commissioner LaMere to
adjourn the meeting.

Motion carried.
