<br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Monday, July 23, 2007, at <br />the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember John Dehen <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Matt Look <br />Councilmember Mary Jo Olson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Givonna Reed Kone, Human Resources Manager <br />Andrea Simms, Waters Consulting Group, Inc. (Via teleconference) <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:31 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br /> <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) Second Interviews for City Administrator Finalists (See attachments) <br /> <br />Councilmember Strommen stated the question to ask is what the City needed most in a City <br />Administrator and to make the decision based on that need. <br /> <br />Discussion on candidates ensued. <br /> <br />Council reached consensus to offer the City Administrator position, with full support of the <br />Council, to Mr. Kurt Ulrich. <br /> <br />Human Resources Manager Reed summarized the contract. She explained it is a compilation of <br />the previous City Administrator's contract and a template used by the Minnesota city manager's <br />group~ She mentioned the wording was discussed with Ms. Simms and the City Attorney.
