An internal recruitment process was
conducted and Kristen Reider was hired by the City Council as a part-time Police
Records Technician on February 14,2007.

Ms. Reider has successfully completed the required six-month probationary period and
the Police Chief recommends retaining Ms. Reider as a part-time Police Records
Technician.

Funding Source

This part-time Police Records Technician position was created and approved as part of
the 2007 General Fund Budget. There are no funding implications associated with
ending Ms. Reider's probationary period.

Staff Recommendation

Based on satisfactory completion of the six-month probationary period, staff recommends
that Kristen Reider be removed from probation effective August 14,2007 and that she be
retained as a part-time Police Records Technician.

Committee Action:

Make a motion recommending that the City Council adopt a resolution ending the
probationary period for Kristen Reider and granting status as a part-time regular Police
Records Technician.

PC: 08-28-07

G: \Adm inislration\HumanRcsources\Pcrformance Evaluati ons\Ending Probation\Reider 8~28-07 .doc

-253-
