Included in the bid specifications for the shelters was a clause for liquidated damages. <br />The City reserves the right to assign liquidated damages of $20 per day [$10 per shelter] <br />for non-completion of the project by the agreed upon time. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff is recommending award to St. Croix Recreation for the construction of both shelters <br />this summer. The construction of each shelter should include cedar shingles, cupola and <br />weather vane for a total cost for both shelters of $47,790 with installation to be complete <br />by August 5, 1997.
