Absent: Councihnember Zimmerman. <br /> <br />Case #5: <br /> <br />Request for Site Plan Review of CNP Storage; Case of TSM Development, <br />IDe. <br /> <br />Associate Planner Geisler indicated the site plan submitted by TSM Development proposes to <br />construct a 19,440-, 15,200-, 10,200-, and a 15,600-square-foot storage building on Outlot A of <br />Regency Pond. The proposed development is located in the E-1 Employment District; mini- <br />storage facilities are a permitted use in this district. The Board of Adjustment heard the two <br />variance cases last week, one for the bufferyard width requirements and one for the setback <br />requirement to the cul-de-sac on 148th Avenue NW. The Board made the recommendation that <br />the fence be moved in to accommodate trees on the 'Outside of the fence. Staff also recommends <br />a few additional shrubs on the Ramsey Boulevard frontage, and in addition to moving in the <br />fence, including several trees on the eastern side of the site plan. The Planning Commission <br />recommended approval at the July 12th meeting. Staff is recommending approval of the site plan <br />in compliance with the City Staff Review Letter. <br /> <br />Councilmember Strommen asked if the recommendation of the Plai:min.g Commission was to <br />include some taller trees on the inside of the fence, and some other plaritings on the outside of the <br />fence. <br /> <br />Associate Planner Geisler explained the Planning Commission was referring to moving the trees <br />on the north to the outside of the fence. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Pearson, seconded by Councilmember Cook, to grant approval of the <br />proposed site plan contingent upon compliance with City Staff Review Letter dated June 25, <br />2004, revised July 9, 2004, revised October 7, 2004, revised November 4,2004, and approval of <br />the request for preliminary plat. <br /> <br />Motion ca.rr:ied.
