Distribute to interested contractors. <br /> <br />· Answer contractor questions and issue addenda as necessary. <br /> <br />· Attend bid opening and assist City representative. <br /> <br />· Prepare award recommendation for City Council/Mn/DOT approval. <br /> <br />Contract Administration <br /> <br />240 hours <br /> <br />· Represent the City during construction to help resolve any potential construction conflicts. <br /> <br />· Prepare monthly pay requests. <br /> <br />· Prepare change orders/supplemental agreements as necessary. <br /> <br />· Certify project completion and acceptance. <br /> <br />3. Construction Staking and Observation 2,120 hours <br /> <br />· Provide construction observation by Mn/DOT-certified field personnel. <br /> <br />· Provide alignment and grade stakes as necessary for use by the contractor. <br /> <br />Total Phase III <br /> <br />2,400 hours <br /> <br />Basis of Payment <br /> <br />We propose to be reimbursed for our services on an hourly basis at a rate of 2.5 times salary cost for <br />the actual time expended, for the out-of-pocket expenses (printing, reproduction, etc.) at cost and for <br />mileage not to exceed the IRS-approved rate (currently $.31 per mile). Invoices would be submitted on <br />a monthly basis for work performed during the previous month. <br /> <br />We estimate the cost to perform these services as follows: <br /> <br />Phase I (Preliminary Design) <br />Phase II (Final Design) <br />Phase III (In-Construction) <br /> <br />We will not exceed these amounts without your approval. <br /> <br />$ 37,500 <br />$ 97,50O <br />$ 132,000 <br /> <br />We are prepared to proceed with the design of this project at your direction and estimate completion as <br />shown on the attached project schedule. <br /> <br /> <br />
