<br />Commissioner Olds asked if one tower would have the potential for multiple carrier use. <br /> <br />Civil Engineer II Linton stated yes, it could share up to three carriers. <br /> <br />Park/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood reminded the Commission that it does reqUlre <br />electricity, which would be an added expense. <br /> <br />Chairperson J olms asked if it would have all the red lights that most towers have. <br /> <br />Park/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood stated they would have to, follow the FAA <br />guidelines. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Shryock, seconded by Commissioner Barr, to recommend the <br />Plamling Commission and City Council proceed Vlrith the permitting of a cellular tower in <br />Alpine Park subject to the location and opportunities identified. <br /> <br />Motion 'carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Johns, CommissioneTs Shryock, Barr, <br />Erickson, LaMere, and Olds. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Hansen. <br /> <br />COMMISSION/STAFF INPUT <br /> <br />Commissioner Shryock asked what is happening Vlrith the old City Hall buildings. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood stated Ramsey Fire #2 is utilizing the space at the <br />moment and 'will eventually reconfigure a new sub-station near Alpine Drive. <br /> <br />Commissioner SJl1yock asked if there "were any updates on the llistoric City Hall building. <br /> <br />ParkslUtilities Supervisor Riverblood stated he hasn't heard anything. <br /> <br />Chairp~rson Jolms asked if the meeting with Council was set for June. <br /> <br />Civil Engineer II Linton stated it is on the Consent Agenda. <br /> <br />ParkslUtilities Supervisor Riverblood updated the Commission on the work at Central <br />Park, stating they are hoping for it to be complete next week. He also stated they had <br />good Arbor Day planting participation. <br /> <br />Commissioner Barr stated the fields are beautiful. <br /> <br />Commissioner Olds ,reminded the Commission about the UpC01l1ll1g Wild Earth <br />FOUl1dation, Open Space and Natural Inventory meetings. <br /> <br />-222- <br />
