David O'Keefe stated that he is a graduate of the STEP program and the hands on learning and ability to actually use the equipment was a great opportunity for the students. Molly thanked the City for the chance to have this experience and stated that she was able to get into a fire truck and look at the whole City. Ms. Karkowski introduced two of the STEP instructors, Dick Holson and Walt Filson. Mr. Filson stated that it has been invaluable to have the Ramsey Fire Department work with their program. He stated that Mr. O'Keefe, because of the training he received, finished 15t in the State in skills training and 8th nationally for fire skills. Mr. Holson stated that Chief Kapler is a great instructor and appreciates all his help and cooperation in making this program a success. Ms. Karkowski read aloud the award to be presented to Fire Chief Kapler honoring his service to the STEP program. Patrick Stocker, 14673 Iodine Court NW, stated that he wanted to address the City Council regarding an assessment for a water bill. Mayor Gamec stated that there was a public hearing on this topic scheduled later in the meeting and Mr. Stocker could make his comments at that time. There being no additional citizen input, Mayor Gamec closed this portion of the meeting at 7: 16 p.m. APPROVE AGENDA Motion by Councilmember Strommen, seconded by Councilmember Jeffrey, to approve the agenda, as presented. Motion carried. V oting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Strommen, Jeffrey, Dehen, Look, and Olson. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Elvig. CONSENT AGENDA Councilmember Look asked to pull item #7 from the Consent Agenda and move it to Case # 18 on the regular meeting agenda. Motion by Councilmember Look, seconded by Councilmember Olson, to approve the following items on the Consent Agenda: 1) Receive Building Permits Approved for August 2007 and Year to Date 2) Note the following Commission Meeting Minutes City Council!
