-262— <br />was the general consensus of those in attendance that the street should be repaired until sewer <br />and water is extended into the area. <br />Motion to recommend that the City Council direct the Public Works department to continue with <br />repairs for the streets within Now and Then Estates, until sewer and water is extended, at which <br />time the roads can be reconstructed to current standards. <br />Action: <br />Ratify the recommendation of the Public Works Committee. <br />Case #6: Consider Rum River Hills Golf Course Drainage Improvements <br />This item was tabled until the October 16, 2007 meeting. <br />Case #7: Receive Petition to Install Stop Signs at Riverdale Drive and Alpaca Street <br />Background: <br />Staff received a petition dated August 1, 2007 which was signed by nine residents of the Alpaca <br />Estates subdivision located south of Riverdale Drive requesting that Stop signs be placed on the <br />east and west legs of the intersection of Alpaca Street and Riverdale Drive. <br />Motion to recommend to the City Council that staff be directed to conduct an investigation to <br />determine whether it is appropriate to place Stop signs for east and westbound Riverdale Drive at <br />the intersection with Alpaca Street. <br />Action: <br />Ratify the recommendation of the Public Works Committee. <br />Case #8: Request by James Provinzino to Purchase Remnant Parcel Owned by the <br />City <br />Background: <br />At the January 16, 2007 Public Works Committee meeting the City discussed a December 21, <br />2006 letter from Mr. James Provinzino requesting that the City quit claim to him a 2,022 square <br />foot remnant parcel located between his property at 6304 Highway 10 and Riverdale Drive. <br />Motion to recommend to the City Council that the City communicate to Mr. Provinzino that the <br />City would consider a purchase price of $5,000, retaining all drainage and utility easements for <br />the remnant parcel between the property located at 6304 Highway 10 and. Riverdale Drive and to <br />get an opinion from the City Attorney regarding compensation for access changes. <br />
