Request to Rezone Certain Property from B-1 and B-2 Business to R-1 Urban Residential; <br /> Case of Good Value Homes <br /> <br /> Chairperson Bawden called the regular meeting back to order at 8:39 p.m. <br /> <br /> COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Request to Renew A Conditional Use Permit to Mine and Export Soils; Case of <br /> Sydney Nyhusmoen <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer asked if the latest mining permit issued was as an interim use or as a <br />conditional use. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that the mining permit for Eric Thompson at Trott Brook is a <br />conditional use permit but has not yet been granted by the City Council. <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer asked if Mr. Nyhusmoen has done mining on the property. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski answered that no mining has yet been done. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer to amend the findings of fact in the affirmative. <br /> <br />Commissioner LaDue noted that the findings of fact have been so amended. <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer withdrew his motion. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer, seconded by Commissioner LaDue to adopt the findings of fact. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Deemer, LaDue, Holland, <br />Jensen, Thorud. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Terry. <br /> <br />Motion by Cormnissioner Deemer to amend item No. 1 under the conditions of the permit to reflect <br />a May 1, 2000 expiration date. <br /> <br />Commissioner Holland noted that page 12 indicates the appropriate amendments to the permit. <br />Commissioner Deemer withdrew the motion. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer, seconded by Commissioner LaDue to recommend to the City <br />Council adoption of the new resolution 97-03-XXX with the amended findings of fact. <br /> <br />Planning Commission/March 4, 1997 <br /> Page 4 of 11 <br /> <br /> <br />
