<br />CASE # he <br /> <br />REQUEST TO DELAY FINAL BITUMINOUS LIFT IN RTC 11TH ADDITION <br />By: Steven Janko"vski, City Engineer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The City adopted a policy in May of 2004 which required that the final lift of bituminous <br />wear course be placed in new subdivision streets no later than one year following the <br />installation of curb and gutter. Attached is a letter from PSD LLC dated September 6, <br />2007 requesting an extension oftime for this work on a section of Sapphire Street <br />(referred to as Peridot Street in their letter) in Ramsey Town Center 11 th Addition. This <br />street is approximately 340 feet in length and provides access to Ramsey Office Plaza <br />fronting on Sunwood Drive opposite City Hall. As noted in the letter Ramsey Town <br />Center LLC was responsible for the paving of this street. <br /> <br />Financial Impact: <br /> <br />The estimated cost of this work is approximately $9,000 which is the responsibility of the <br />master developer. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends approval of the request in light of the foreclosure proceedings <br />. associated with Ramsey Town Center LLC. <br /> <br />Action: <br /> <br />Motion to recommend to City Council that the placement of the final lift of bituminous <br />on Sapphire Street in Ramsey Town Center 11 th Addition be "(aived for a period of <br />twelve months. <br /> <br />Reviewed By: <br />Public Works Director/Principal City Engineer <br />Civil Engineer II <br />Engineering Technician IV <br /> <br />PW: 10/16/{)7 <br /> <br />31 <br />
