Absent: Commissioner Jensen. <br /> <br />Commissioner Jensen arrived at 6:32 p.m. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden adjourned the regular meeting at 6:32 p.m. in order to conduct the following <br />public hearings: <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />Request for a home occupation permit; case of Barbara Nelson. <br />Request to rezone certain property from B-1 Business to B-2 Business and R-3 Urban <br />Residential; case of Rademacher Companies. <br />Request for a conditional use permit to grade and export soils; case of Good Value Homes, <br />Inc. <br />Request for conditional use permit to grade and export soils; case of John Enstrom. <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden called the regular meeting back to order at 6:51 p.m. <br /> <br />Case gl: Request for a Home Occupation Permit; Case of Barbara Nelson <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik reported Barbara Nelson, 5211-155th Lane N.W., has requested a home <br />occupation permit to establish a hair and nail salon in her home. She plans to construct a 30 by 25 <br />foot addition to the home to accommodate the operation of the' business. Barbara will be the sole <br />employee and she expects to service approximately 30 clients per week. Hours of operation will be <br />from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. <br /> <br />Commissioner Jensen questioned the number of tanning beds and if they would be advertised. <br /> <br />Ms. Barbara Nelson, 5211-155th Lane N.W., stated that the tanning beds would not be advertised <br />and would be utilized only by hair and nail salon clients. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission proceeded to review the Findings of Fact. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Planning Commission was to accept #1 through #11 as presented. <br /> <br />Planning Commission/September 2, 1997 <br /> Page 2 of 12 <br /> <br /> <br />
