Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION # <br />AUTHORIZATION TO HIRE A <br />PART -TIME POLICE TECHNICIAN <br />WHEREAS, the City's former part-time Police Technician resigned from her <br />position effective August 17, 2007; and <br />WHEREAS, on August 14, 2007 the City Council authorized staff to begin the <br />recruitment process to fill the soon -to -be vacant part-time Police Technician position; <br />WHEREAS, a recruitment process was conducted and 90 applications were received <br />and eleven applicants were interviewed. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, <br />Confirms the recommendation of the Personnel Committee to do the following: <br />Hire Stacy Michelson as the City's new part-time Police Technician, effective October 24, <br />2007, at an hourly wage of $16.23. All personnel polices will apply normally. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member, , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof. <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 23 day of October 2007. <br />-216- <br />
